Behind the Story...
The Aeria Gloris Project began as a four-part short-film series idea designed to test and enhance the company's visual effects capabilities. Aeria Gloris I (originally titled 'The Borderline') was introduced in April 2008 at the Grove City College Short Film Fest (3rd Place Winner). As designed, the short film pushed the boundaries of DWP, mainly in rotoscoping and 2D tracking.
Now, in 2009, DWP has begun pre-production of Aeria Gloris II (Civis Terra). The design goal of AG:CT is to push the boundaries yet again in visual effects- mainly 3D tracking (matchmoving) and compositing. The present script calls for over 20 specific vfx designs with new techniques and camera rigs. The biggest enhancement to the film is the realism in the special effects department. Where AGI worked in 2D effects, AGII will mainly work in 3D effects. More information will be released as filming begins.
Aeria Gloris III and IV are in the scripting process as of now and will also have more information once AG: Civis Terra has been released.
